Rabbi Lindsey Healey - Pollack

Rabbi Lindsey Healey-Pollack was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary where she also received a Master of Arts degree in Talmud and Rabbinic Literature. She was awarded the Ismar Elbogen Fellowship Memorial Prize in Talmud. Rabbi Lindsey grew up in Houston, Texas and spent five years of her childhood living in Cairo, Egypt. She developed her passion for Jewish living and learning as an undergraduate at Scripps College in Claremont, CA, where she studied anthropology and philosophy. She continued to deepen her Jewish learning and involvement after moving to New York to pursue an M.A. in Museum Studies from NYU.

Rabbi Lindsey was inspired to go to rabbinical school by a love of Jewish learning and the richness of a tradition that values inquiry, questions, and discussion. She is excited to share this spirit of curiosity with others and to create an accessible path to the Jewish tradition and community for all who seek it. She is passionate about creating meaningful and participatory Jewish learning experiences for adults.

At Kol HaNeshamah, she has provided stimulating and inspired leadership, teaching, and innovative programming for children and adults. Throughout the Covid pandemic, Rabbi Lindsey has been instrumental in maintaining a steadfast presence with online services, innovative programming, workshops and classes. As we emerge from the pandemic, we look forward to a complete return to in-person activities.
