Annual Community Meeting
The KH Community Meeting took place on Thursday, July 17 with 32 members in attendance and five proxy ballots counted.
Alan Arenson announced that Kol HaNeshamah has received a generous donation of $10,000 from the Center for Contemporary Judaica, a private foundation founded by Rabbi Jonathan Levine z”l, late brother of KH member Renah Rabinowitz. The funds will be used to support educational programming at KH.
David Katzen announced that for the High Holidays:
-Our own lay leadership will lead services and offer Divrei Torah on Rosh Hashanah.
-Yom Kippur services and Divrei Torah will be led by Cantor Noam Rakovsky who has served as a Cantor and high holiday Chazan at numerous synagogues throughout Israel and the United States.
Alan announced that Jeff Brecker will be stepping down from the Va’ad and that we are actively seeking a member to complete Jeff’s term.
The budget, which showed a significant increase in revenue from previous years, was unanimously approved by the membership.
