Lifelong Learning

Jews are known as "People of the Book" - life-long learners.

At Kol HaNeshamah, we offer many opportunities to learn.  You can find us engaging in weekly Torah study, weekly Talmud workshop, and exploration of Jewish Spirituality. We come together for "Lunch and Learn" Shabbatot, book club discussions, and much more. We have enjoyed lectures and discussions led by guest speakers and our own members on such topics as Jewish genealogy, contemporary Israeli politics,  archaeology of the Temple Mount, tours of the Jewish Heritage Museum, the Tenement Museum and a walking tour of the Lower East Side. We attend concerts, theatre trips, art exhibitions, and sporting events, as well as numerous other outings.

For those interested in expanding synagogue skills, we offer lessons in leading services, reading Torah and Megillot, and chanting Haftarot.

Last, but not least, we have been exploring the intricacies and subtleties of single-malt whiskies and gourmet Kosher wines led by connoisseurs who just happen to be our members.
